Bist du gut vorbereitet?

Gute Kondition, viel Fahrtechnik und eine gehörige Portion Lust auf einen anstrengenden Ritt – das solltest du auf jeden Fall dabei haben. Hinzu kommt ein gutes Mountainbike oder eMountainbike, Verpflegung und genügend zu trinken für unterwegs, die richtige Kleidung im Zwiebelprinzip, Flickzeug und Erste Hilfe-Set und ein (geladenes) Handy und GPS-Gerät.

Anmeldung

Es ist nur eine Online-Anmeldung möglich. Der Service dafür wird abgewickelt über die Volksbank-Arena-Harz.

Da du das Startset per Post erhältst, solltest du ca. eine Woche Zeit einplanen, bis du tatsächlich losfahren kannst. Falls es doch schneller gehen soll, kannst du bei deiner Online-Anmeldung vermerken, dass du dir das Startset im OutdoorCenter Harz in Clausthal-Zellerfeld persönlich abholst. Dort kannst du dann auch gleich auf die Devils Trail Runde starten. Ansonsten ist der Start überall möglich, die besten Startorte findest du hier.

Das Startset

Das wichtigste darin ist das Tourbook, auf dessen Rückseite du deine acht Stempel druckst, dazu deinen Namen und das Datum für den letzten Stempel. Außerdem enthält das Tourbook wichtige Infos zum Start sowie kurze Streckenbeschreibungen und -karten. Du musst das Startset vorab per PayPal bezahlen.

Nach deiner Tour schickst du ein Foto mit den acht Stempeln und deinem Namen (in Druckbuchstaben) auf der Rückseite des Tourbooks als Beweis. Damit erhältst du das Finisherpaket, ebenfalls per Post, und wenn du zugestimmt hast (Datenschutz), dann wird dein Namen auf der Onlineliste der Devils Trail Finisher veröffentlicht.

It’s time to start!

Good fitness level, technical riding ability and a lot of enthusiasm for a strenuous ride – you will certainly need all of these things. Added to that, you will need a good mountain bike or E-MTB, food and enough to drink for the tour, the right clothing in several layers, puncture repair materials, a first aid kit and a (well-charged) smartphone.
The registration is only possible online; the service for this is performed via the website of the Volksbank-Arena-Harz mountain bike network.
Because you will receive the Startset by post, you should register at least a week before you want to start. If you don't have time to do this, you can note in your online registration that you will collect the Startset personally from the OutdoorCenter Harz in Clausthal-Zellerfeld. There, you can start riding the Devil's Trail immediately, or it is possible to start anywhere on the route. The best starting locations can be found here.
The most important thing in the Startset is the Tour Sheet, on which you will print your eight stamps plus your name and the date you got the last stamp. The Tour Sheet also contains more information about the start, an overview map and a surprise. You have to pay for the Startset in advance using PayPal. It currently costs EUR 39.50 (including postage within Germany) or EUR 43.70 (postage within Europe).
After your tour you need to send a photo of your Tour Sheet with the eight stamps and your name (in block letters) as proof of your personal Devil's Trail ride. Finally, you will receive the Finisher Package, also by post, and if you have given your consent (data protection), your name will be published in the online list of Devil's Trail Finishers.
