Strecke und Landschaft

Vom nördlichen Harzrand geht es hoch hinauf in den Oberharz – der anstrengendste Streckenabschnitt der Runde liegt vor dir. Vom Jungborn fährst du nach Bad Harzburg und über Oker weiter bis Goslar, ständig bergauf und bergab, teilweise auf sehr schönen Trails. In Goslar folgt der lange Anstieg auf die Schalke, der höchste Berg im Oberharz. Vom dortigen Aussichtsturm reicht die Sicht bis zum Brockenmassiv.

From Jungborn to the Schalke
31.7 km and 965 altitude metres await you on this section of the Devil’s Trail.

From the northern edge of the Harz, the route ascends back into the Upper Harz – the most strenuous stage of the route now lies before you. From Jungborn you will ride to Bad Harzburg and via Oker to Goslar, constantly uphill and downhill, often on really nice trails. In Goslar you will start the long climb to the Schalke, the highest mountain in the Upper Harz. From the observation tower there is a view all the way to the Brocken massif.
