Acht Gipfel, 184 Kilometer und 4.300 Höhenmeter erwarten dich! An acht abgelegenen Checkpoints musst du beweisen, dass du tatsächlich vor Ort warst.
An den Start gehen kannst du am besten in Bad Harzburg, Bad Lauterberg, Braunlage, Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Goslar, Sankt Andreasberg und Schierke. Dort findest du auch mountainbike-freundliche Unterkünfte sowie Gastronomie und Einkaufs- und Servicemöglichkeiten z.B. bei Pannen.
Wenn du nicht allein, sondern lieber zusammen mit anderen auf den Devils Trail gehen willst – dann meldet ihr euch einzeln und unter Nennung eines Team-Namens an.
Unterwegs kommst du immer wieder an den Stempelkästen der Harzer Wandernadel vorbei. Acht Stempelstellen (mit den Nummern 144, 150, 159, 9960, 156, 22, 9901 und 125) sind für dich besonders wichtig: dort musst du nämlich einen Stempel in dein Tourbook setzen. Wenn der Stempel fehlt oder kaputt ist, trage selbst den Ort und die Identifikationsnummer des Stempelkastens (steht auf der Innenseite der Vorderklappe) ein. Das wird als Nachweis anerkannt.
Dein Startset enthält ein Tourbook mit einer Übersichtskarte der Strecke, Beschreibungen der Einzeletappen inkl. Karte und der Stempelseite. Außerdem bekommst du ein Informationsblatt mit allem, was wichtig ist für unterwegs, und kannst dir über die HarzApp und Outdooractive die GPS-Daten auf dein Handy herunterladen.

The start
The best places to start are Bad Harzburg, Bad Lauterberg, Braunlage, Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Goslar, Sankt Andreasberg and Schierke. There you will also find mountain-bike-friendly-accommodation as well as cafés, restaurants, shopping and service possibilities, for example if you have mechanical problems.
If you don't want to go alone, but would rather ride the Devil's Trail together with others – then register individually but all enter the same team name.
On the way you will often come across the stamping points of the Harzer Wandernadel. Eight of these stamping points (with the numbers 144, 150, 159, 9960, 156, 22, 9901 and 125) are especially important for you: here you need to stamp your Tour Sheet to prove that you were there. If the rubber stamp is missing from the box at the stamping point, or if it is broken, you should write the identification number of the box (it's on the inside of the door at the front) and the location on your Tour Sheet. This will be accepted as proof that you were there.
Your Startset contains a Tour Sheet with an overview map of the route and the stamping page for the checkpoints. You will also get an information page with everything that is important for your tour, and you can download the GPS tracks to your mobile device from the HarzApp and Outdooractive.
